SAVANNAH, Ga. (WJCL) – Just 20 miles away from Savannah’s shores, Discovery Channel caught something unusual last year – and it has nothing to do with sharks.
The video above shows a rare sight – a group of dolphins that literally beach themselves in shallow areas to catch fish. Fortunately the creatures of adapted and bringing themselves back into the waters.
Discovery Channel says that this only happens in the small area off the coasts near Savannah and shows that while sharks may get the most attention in the area – especially during Shark Week, the coastal wide life is far more diverse. Click the video to see the amazing footage.
