Today, our friend Simon brought us a beautiful new nudibranch he found along the Wellington South Coast.
This lavender and white, shell-less cousin of a sea snail (Jason mirabilis) is found on rocky reefs around New Zealand. Its only food is colonial hydroids (tiny cousins of sea anemones and corals) that look like bushy seaweeds.
