The Island Bay Marine Education Centre's marine displays are situated in the historic Bait House on Island Bay's foreshore and we utilise the nearby former surf club building as our classroom, outdoor activity centre and office.
Catch any No.1 bus to Island Bay. Buses stop at the end of The Parade, take a short walk down Reef St and you will see the Bait House on the point. Bus Timetables
Parking note: The Bait House is situated right next to a recreational boat ramp so please park by the former surf club building or on the opposite side of the road when visiting the Centre. All bus or group arrivals should park in front of our classroom.
Please do not park across gravel boat ramp! Local fisherman and recreational users require vehicle access at all times! Ramp users thank you in advance!
