The Big Octopus Holiday Programmes are run by the Island Bay Marine Education Centre with the support of the Wellington Marine Conservation Trust.

What do the programmes offer?
The Big Octopus is particularly for children who are interested in animals and conservation. There will be visits to our Bait House Aquarium, activities, competitions, guest speakers, films and plenty more for your child to enjoy!

Who can come?
The Big ‘O’ is for children between the ages of 7 - 12.

Where is the programme based?
The Big Octopus will be based at the Island Bay Marine Education Centre Hall on Island Bay Beach. Click here to learn more about the centre..

When should I register?
If interested in the summer school holidays (January 2010) please register your interest as soon as possible so your child or children can secure their space on our programme.

What are the hours?
The holiday programme starts each day at 8.45am and runs through till 3.30pm.
